Aloha and USAV CAP I & II Course June 5-6, 2010

Come join USA Volleyball, the American Volleyball Coaches Association and Aloha Region for a CAP Level I & II Course on June 5-6, 2010!
The CAP Level I Course is open to ALL Coaches.
The CAP Level II class is open to all previously accredited Level I coaches for initial Level II accreditation or to previously accredited Level II coaches who wish to re-accredit.
How do I join either AVCA or the USAV?
You can join the AVCA on the website (http://www.avca.org/), which gives you full member benefits for 1 year.
You can join USA Volleyball through your LOCAL USAV REGION OFFICE with full member benefits for 1 year.
If not joining USA Volleyball , you will need to add the "One Event Membership" option to your on-line order when registering for the USAV-CAP Course in Iowa. This option provides you USAV Secondary Sport Accident Insurance coverage for the course dates plus covers the USAV Background Screen charges (necassary for CAP certification).
Schedule:
All CAP Participants should check-in at the Kennedy High School Building on Saturday May 15th at 7:30 am. Level I begins at 8 am (to no later 8pm) and sessions on Sunday May 16th run from 8 am (to no later than 4 pm).

First 12 Coaches to register for a Full CAP I or CAP II Course at this site will be entered to win a SIGNED USA Volleyball, a pair or Mizuno court shoes, or a Mizuno Polo Shirt!
There’s MORE!!!!! Sign your junior player up for a PLAYER Clinic taught by the CAP CADRE on Sunday evening! Two age-group player clinic sessions will be offered on Sunday June 6th, 2010-age 14 and under from 3:30-5:30 pm and age 15 and up from 6:30-8:30pm. Contact the USAV-CAP Office or your Aloha Region Office for more details and to register your players!
CAP Level I Course Fee includes:
- 10 hours of Core CAP instruction
- 3 of 4 required elective Modules (Topics & length of each may vary)
- Textbooks/Materials: Coaching Volleyball: Building a Winning Team and Supplemental Handouts.
- Follow-up online tests
Accreditation for CAP Level I requires:
- Core course attendance
- Attendance at 3 Modules (included with this course fee)
- Attendance at 1 additional Module (may be purchased & completed during this same weekend or apply prior module certificates)
- Signed Code of Ethics (at the course)
- Passing grade on online test(emailed afterward)
- For Non-Members - One Event Membership and USAV Background Check (requires $25 additional fee & includes 2-day sport accident insurance)
- Current/Passed USAV Background Screening
- Submission of proof of having attended a “Foundations of Coaching” class (such as IMPACT or comparable course)
- Submission of a Coaching Philosophy and Favorite Drill Form
- Completion of all requirements within 12 months of course
CAP Level II Course Fee includes:
- 10 hours of Core CAP Instruction
- 4 of 6 elective Modules (Topics & length of each may vary)
- Textbook/Materials: Volleyball Coach’s Survival Guide, and Supplemental Handouts
- Follow-up online test
Accreditation for CAP Level II requires:
- Core Course attendance
- Attendance at 4 Modules (included with course fee)
- Attendance at 2 Additional Module (may be purchased and completed during this same weekend, or apply prior Module Certificates)
- Signed Code of Ethics
- For Non-Members - One Event Membership and USAV Background Check (requires $25 additional fee and includes 2-day sport accident insurance)
- Current/Passed USAV Background Screening
- Passing grade on online Test (emailed afterward)
- Submission of a Favorite Drill Form
- Submission of a 2-3 page original Article
- Completion of all requirements within 12 months of course
Upon completion of all requirements, accreditation will be granted and a Certificate suitable for framing and congratulatory letter will be emailed. Accredited coaches are then eligible to attend the next level CAP course.

Deadlines for Registration:
Early Bird Registration pricing will apply to registrations received no later than May 21, 2010 Regular Registration pricing will apply to registrations received between May 22-May 31st, 2010-
Late Registration pricing will apply to registrations received on or after June 1st, 2010. After June 1st please call for availability before registering.
