CAP I & VCAP
at USA Jr Boys’ Championships in Atlanta

Come join USAV-CAP, the USAV Championship Events Department, and the Southern Region at the 2009 USA Junior Boy’s Volleyball Championships for CAP Level I, Additional Modules & VCAP Clinic to be presented in an AM/PM Wave Format to fit your coaching schedule, June 30-July 3 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta.
The CAP Level I Course is open to ALL Coaches.

NOTE: TO RECEIVE THE PARTICIPATING COACH PRICE,OR TO RECEIVE THE SO RVA PRICE YOU MUST BE LISTED AS COACH/STAFF ON A PARTICIPATING TEAM'S ROSTER AND PROVIDE YOUR MEMBERSHIP NUMBER IN THE COMMENTS SECTION.
The VCAP class is open to all coaches and will be held in Atlanta if enough interest is shown (minimum of 10 coaches); this course is not a certificate program. The 4 hour VCAP Pre-season Conditioning Clinic is a stand-alone clinic that may be added to the CAP registration.
Schedule:
- Check-in for the Full CAP I course will be on Tuesday, June 30th BEFORE 4:30 PM (room TBD).
- Check in for the additional modules will be on Wednesday, July 1st at the 8:00 am and the 4:00 PM start of each Wave (room TBD.
- If held, check-in for the VCAP Clinic will be the morning of the 3rd at 8:00 am (room TBD).
- CAP Sessions will begin on June 30th at 4:30 PM and run no later than 10:00 PM and are REQUIRED for all CAP I students.
- Sessions on Wednesday July 1st and Thursday July 2nd, will be presented in an AM/PM Wave Format to fit your coaching schedule, from 8:00am until approximately 1:00pm and repeated from 4:30 pm to approximately 10:00pm.
- All 3 days must be attended in order to complete a full CAP Level I certification done at this event.
- If held, VCAP will run from 8:30 AM to 12:30 Noon on July 3rd. Check-in 8:00–8:30am.
- Check with on-site tournament registration desk for the location of each classroom.

CAP I Course Fee at this site includes:

Accreditation for CAP Level I requires:

Core course attendance (included in this course)

Attendance at 3 Elective Modules (included in this course)

Attendance at one Additional Module (included in this course)

Signed USAV-CAP Coaches Code of Ethics

Passing grade of 90% on Online Test (emailed after the course)

Submission of proof of having attended a "Foundations of Coaching" class (such as IMPACT or approved comparable course)

For NON-USAV Members, a One Event Membership and USAV Background Check (requires $25 additional fee & includes 2-day insurance)

Submission of a Coaching Philosophy & Favorite Drill Form)
CAP I Attendees need to bring:
- Bring 25 copies of your Favorite Drill to share. The Drill Form Template can be downloaded from the CAP Forms Page
- Bring 2 copies of your Coaching Philosophy. The Coaching Philosophy Worksheet can be downloaded from the CAP Forms Page
- Bring a completed USAV-CAP Coaches Code of Ethics form. The Coaches Code of Ethics booklet can be downloaded from the CAP Forms Page. You need to complete and bring the last page, only.
- Note taking materials for all sessions/courses and clothing/shoes to participate in possible on-court sessions.
Upon completion of all requirements, accreditation will be granted and a Certificate suitable for framing and congratulatory letter will be mailed.
After one season of coaching under their current certification, accredited coaches are then eligible to attend the next level CAP course.

- Early Bird Registration pricing will apply to registrations received no later than 6/26/2009.
- Late Registration pricing will apply to registrations received on or after 6/27/2009.
