Come join USA Volleyball, the American Volleyball Coaches Association and the Viper Volleyball Club for a CAP Level I & II Course at the San Antonio College in San Antonio, TX on May 30-31, 2009!
IF YOU ARE A HIGH SCHOOL, MIDDLE SCHOOL, OR ELEMENTARY SCHOOL COACH PLEASE USE THE BELOW FAXABLE REGISTRATION TO TAKE THE ADDITIONAL $25.00 DISCOUNT OFF YOUR FULL COURSE PRICE!

In addition to the CAP courses, the Viper VBC will also be hosting a series of special YOUTH PLAYER CLINICS on Friday afternoon & evening May 29th. These clinics are open to ALL kids:
Girls & Boys Ages 3-6 @ 2:00-4:00 pm
Girls & Boys Ages 7-10 @ 4:00-6:00 pm
BOYS in grades 6 to 12 @ 7:00-9:00 pm.
The CAP Level I Course is open to ALL Coaches.
The CAP Level II class is open to all previously accredited Level I coaches for initial Level II accreditation or to previously accredited Level II coaches who wish to re-accredit.
Schedule:
Kids Player Clinic Participants should check-in at the San Antonio College Gym on Friday May 29th between 15 and 30 minutes prior to the start of their session; kids should wear appropriate clothing and shoes for volleyball.
Check-in for the CAP I & II course will be on Saturday, May 30th at 7:30am; Sessions will begin at 8:00am and run until no later than 8:00pm; Sessions on Sunday, May 31st will run from 8:00am until approximately 4:00pm.

- And SPECIAL GUEST CLINICIAN RYAN MILLAR - Middle Blocker for the Gold Medal winning USA Men's Olympic Team! Ryan will be headlining the BOYS CLINIC session on Friday from 7-9 pm and will be one of the Cadre for the CAP I & II courses.

CAP Level I Course Fee includes:
- 10 hours of Core CAP instruction
- 3 of 4 required elective Modules (Topics & length of each may vary)
- Textbooks/Materials: Coaching Volleyball: Building a Winning Team and Supplemental Handouts.
- Follow-up online tests
Accreditation for CAP Level I requires:
- Core course attendance
- Attendance at 3 Modules (included with this course fee)
- Attendance at 1 additional Module (may bepurchased & completed during this same weekend or apply a previously earned CAP Module certificate)
- Signed CAP Coaches Code of Ethics (at the course)
- Passing grade on online test (emailed afterward)
- Non-Member USAV Background Check (requires $25 additional fee for NON-USAV Members & includes One Event Membership and insurance)
- Current/Passed USAV Background Screening
- Submission of proof of having attended a “Foundations of Coaching” class (such as IMPACT or comparable course)
- Submission of a Coaching Philosophy and Favorite Drill Form
- Completion of all requirements within 12 months of course
CAP Level II Course Fee includes:
- 10 hours of Core CAP Instruction
- 4 of 6 elective Modules (Topics & length of each may vary)
- Textbook/Materials: Volleyball Coach’s Survival Guide, and Supplemental Handouts
- Follow-up online test
Accreditation for CAP Level II requires:
- Core Course attendance
- Attendance at 4 Modules (included with course fee)
- Attendance at 2 Additional Module (may be purchased and completed during this same weekend)
- Signed CAP Coaches Code of Ethics on file
- Non-Member USAV Background Check (requires $25 additional fee for NON-USAV Members & includes One Event Membership and insurance)
- Current/Passed USAV Background Screening
- Passing grade on online Test (emailed afterward)
Submission of a 1000 word original article
- Submission of a Favorite Drill Form
- Completion of all requirements within 12 months of course
Upon completion of all requirements, accreditation will be granted and a Certificate suitable for framing and congratulatory letter will be mailed. Accredited coaches are then eligible to attend the next level CAP course AFTER having coached for a minimum of ONE SEASON under the current certification.

Deadlines for Registration:
- Early Bird Registration pricing will apply to registrations received no later than 5/15/2009.
- Regular Registration pricing will apply to registrations received between 5/16/2009-5/25/2009.
- Late Registration pricing will apply to registrations received on or after 5/26/2009. If registering after 5/25 please call for availability before registering.
